How to Convert HEIC to JPG on iPhone
Method 1: Use our Free Online Converter

Method 2: The "Files App" Trick
You can convert HEIC to JPG natively on iOS using the Files app:
- Select your photos in the Photos App.
- Tap the Share button and select "Copy Photos".
- Open the Files App and navigate to any folder.
- Long-press in an empty space and select "Paste".
- iOS will automatically convert these photos to JPG during the paste process!
Method 3: Change Camera Settings
If you want your iPhone to stop taking HEIC photos entirely and use JPG instead:
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap Camera.
- Tap Formats.
- Select "Most Compatible" (this saves as JPG) instead of "High Efficiency" (HEIC).
Note: "Most Compatible" will result in slightly larger file sizes for your photos.

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Format) was introduced by Apple to save space. A HEIC file is about 50% smaller than a JPG of the same quality. However, many Windows apps and websites don't support it yet, which is why conversion is often necessary.
